What it costs

from S$90 per visit for the nurse's time. Consumables are billed separately at cost — no markup. After-hours and urgent same-day visits add 40% to the nursing fee (evenings, weekends, public holidays); offshore-zone visits are quoted before you book. What happens during the visit

• The nurse checks the wound is healed enough for the stitches to come out.
• Sutures or staples are removed cleanly, one at a time.
• The wound is cleaned and redressed if needed.
• The family is advised on aftercare and scar care.
• A written visit summary is left for the patient's own doctor.

Who needs this

People recovering from surgery or a repaired wound whose stitches or staples are due to come out, and who would rather not travel back to a clinic to have it done.

How often: Usually a one-off visit, timed to when the wound has healed enough (often 7–14 days after the procedure).

When to call a doctor

• The wound opens or gapes after removal
• Increasing redness, warmth, swelling, or pus (possible infection)
• Fever, or the wound is more painful instead of less
